summertime provides, at least in my case, less time to think unabated.i am functioning on the supposition that when kept busy, a formerly idle mind hibernates and allows lesser intellectualized areas of the brain to assume command. thinking begets novel thoughts, idle time begets thinking. any subpar writing done by anyone at this time of year can be written off as a natural function directly proportional to the amount of time spent thinking instead of doing.
lately, i have been doing a lot of doing. then i injured myself wakeboarding. now i have not worked in 3 days and have nothing to do but simmer, so writing might actually improve.
