 the show, april 21st

6:10 p.m., 2004-04-22

so at this show we ended up going on last, which sucks on a weeknight because people all leave early and stuff it's not like a real show where everyone is there to see the headliner. it's a bummer to go on last 'round these parts.

so there was only like 15 or 20 people left when we went on.

we made the best of it though. people actually came up to the front and were going all nuts and stuff. it was surprising, because that doesn't usually happen at this place. it's more of a hang back and watch the band (like most of new england is) type of place. so having people actually respond was pretty amazing.

we finished our set and as i was shutting off the amp people started yelling at us to keep playing, so i asked the sound guy if it was cool if we played a couple more and he said go ahead. that was cool. that's the second time that that has happened to us. afterwards people were all coming up to the stage and asking for cds and stuff, but i had like 3 of them on me so i just told them to go to the website for songs and stuff. one guy from another band was giving us accolades for being a three piece. apparently we sound like there are more members or something, which was cool. sort of a badge of honor to be acknowledged for something like that.

and also afterward some girl came up and asked us to play this live streaming webcast thing, about which i have to get the details. hopefully we can do that and have a bunch of people check it out. i gave her one of the few cds i had with me, but it was one of the old crappy ones. i am too stupid to have burned any new ones of the new recordings for the show. that would have made too much sense.

(and a special thank you is due to KAT for driving for like an hour to come to the show. sorry we went on so late and you had to go, but it was cool that you came.)
