 insanely mundane II

1:10 a.m., 2004-10-26

i tend to only put things in here when i am miserable, so i think i will try and buck that trend tonight and just languish in the mundane drone that has become my life.
all i do now is make money and then save it.
spend some on shoes.
i still write stuff every night, but i don't have the energy to go up in my bedroom and get the whole notebook kit and transcribe it all here and everything. i just don't have that need anymore right now. partly because nobody really cares because they all have their own shit to worry about and partly because it's already out on paper for me right there. what's the point?
i saw that huckabees movie tonight and it was funny, but not nearly as funny as it should be. and i loathe lily tomlin. i always have. she sucks. and dustin hoffman has a haircut like louie barletta. that was funny in and of itself to me, but to no one else.
i went apple picking in this orchard like 35 miles away from my house because i was out for a drive and saw an orchard. before that i didn't even know what a macoun was, and now i know it's just another apple that looks and tastes the same as most other apples. i picked a few anyway just to tell people, "that apple you're eating? that's a fucking macoun. i bet you're impressed. you know, they only grow like 35 miles away from here." i might have been the only person in the orchard without a child either strapped to my back or chest, or being dragged in some form of transport device. children are a nuisance and ruin your life, but someday i hope to have one so that when i die i can take heart in that fact that at least there is one asshole on the planet who will perpetuate my brand of assholiness. also because i thrive off of misery.
there were pears in the orchard too, bosc pears and bartlett pears, but the bartlett pear trees were empty. i also don't even think they were pear trees because i didn't see a single partridge.
