so after all i was not outbid for the house.

but still i did not get it because it was just barely out of my price range. i could have afforded it, but i would have used all of my money on the down payment etc etc etc and would have moved in there flat broke, which cannot happen.

just to torture myself, let me describe what it was like... actually it was not a house, it was a condo. it was in a school that was built in 1918 and used as a high school until the 1960's, when the town built an addition onto the existing school and used it as a middle school. it was decommissioned in the late 1970's and bought by some dude who graduated from the school and he turned it into condos, but when he did it he did not alter the structure, he just used the spaces inside to make 20 condo units fit inside the school. no two units are alike, although they all have basically the same square footage.

this particular unit was in an addition done in 1927, and it had these enormous 9 foot tall windows that extended from one floor to the other by using this tiny two-foot-wide loft-ish thing that is impossible to describe, but infinitely cool. two bathrooms, two bedrooms, exposed brick, and this 15 foot long skinny closet. and the place came with all of the appliances.

and i talked the seller down $25,000.00 too.

would have been nice.

actually it's still on the market, so if i can muster up a couple of thousand i can still have it.

you can paypal me money if you want.
