 fear and loathing in boston

12:15 a.m., 2001-04-06

the thought of living in a city makes my stomache turn. all of the people, drugs, apathy pollution, noise, crime, hoboes, drunks, winos, fear and loathing is enough to turn any mortal's face green.

i don't understand how this could be an attractive prospect for anyone except the hell's angels. what positivity could possibly come out of such a scum-ridden, puke-encrusted crime pit?

i do, however, have solutions to some problems which city-dwellers face.

to eradicate crime, and drugs and other subversive activities, we should simply lop off the hands and/or feet of anyone caught by the police. it may sound barbaric, but what we're doing now obviously isn't working and after seeing some of his peg-legged former crime partners, that scumfuck would think twice before going out on that wild rampaging crime spree he was planning. we can, in turn, boil the meat of the criminals' hands and/or feet into a hearty meal for the homeless. if we don't tell them what's in it, they'll think it tastes like chicken soup, right? and during sting operations instead of making arrests, simply lace the drugs sold by the ATF or DEA agents with strychnine or arsenic or chromium disulfidoxinate or something. suddenly, the drug problem in our country would be significantly diminished. cut off the arms of heroin addicts. sure, they'll probably shoot up in their lousy asses, but have you ever tried to slap your ass with your foot, let alone stick a needle in it. besides, they're social parasites. anyway, i wouldn't want to put myself in a city until ALL of these measures are passed as laws. then i would possibly have a positive experience. cities are dumping grounds for the dregs of society.

there has been a degeneration in cities into a wasteland. it's a sickening pandemic which needs eradication. those who are left are the ones who cannot afford to escape.

*because of pollution, spending 24 hours in boston damages the human lung the equivalent of smoking 36.5 cigarettes.*
