 flagrant disrespect shown towards ralph

2:27 a.m., 2001-05-07

and i went to concord today. why? i was sitting around and thought,

'hm, i've never seen where the american revolution found it's inception. '

the old north bridge.

i visited the graves of nathaniel hawthorne, louisa may alcott, henry david thoreau and ralph waldo emerson. these were some of the greatest authors of the 19th century.

they were the seminal figures in the transcendentalist movement. thoreau wrote 'on walden pond'. hawthorne wrote 'the scarlet letter'. alcott wrote 'little women' emerson started the whole thing. he owned the land thoreau lived on while writing his book, and he's considered the father of modern american literature.

there was fresh spit on his grave.

i'm sure this will not be the first nor the last time i say that this entire country is going straight to hell, and i am not a religious man.
